Prof. Cristina Silva Pereira is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Chemical and Biological Technology of Nova University of Lisbon (ITQB NOVA), where she leads the Applied and Environmental Mycology group since 2008. Prof. Silva Pereira’s research focuses on how fungi perceive and interact with the surrounding environment. Specific topics of research include environmental mycology, fungal metabolism, plant polymers and biomaterials.
